Contact
1994-2008
Two copper plates, located in two countries.
When one is touching the plate in one country, the other plate warms up.
By placing their hand on the copper plate at the site, viewers can sense the possible contact of another person touching the plate at the distant site.
The only visible part of the work is the copper plate surrounded by a thick red felt mat.
The viewer (viewer-interactor) crouches or lies down to make contact with another potential interactor at a distance.

One plaque is installed at the ECAP (European Conference on Computing and Philosophy) 2008 conference and the other at the FRUC art center.
