The concept of Technoromanticism had been developped by Stéphan Barron between 1991 and 1996 for his doctoral thesis at the Paris VIII University.
The thesis has been pubished in the CD rom Eart Art Stéphan Barron, 1996.
The book Technoromantisme has been published in 2003.
